Featuring nine young contemporary Black Chicago artists, Midnight Blooms is a show about creativity that unfurls unseen, revealing itself in full only after the sun has set. A metaphor for the invisible labor of the artist, the night as a refuge for the uncommon thinker, and the work and ideas that bloom outside of the societal commonalities under the daytime sun. Midnight Blooms is curated by formerly exhibiting Third City Gallery artist Jeff Rivers, and the first show in our resident curator series.
