Nina Sun

Nina Sun is a student at the Art Institute of Chicago, pursuing a degree in Visual Critical Studies. Her work examines the veil as both technique and metaphor, using both the application of veiled imagery and the veil as a representative symbol. She relates the history of veils as craft made for women and worn by women to active and passive femininity: products of care, craft, and labor, as well as expressions of image both public and intimate.
